Journal Status and Call for Papers
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: After a temporary publication hiatus in 2024-2025 due to hosting infrastructure challenges, the European Journal of Physics Education is pleased to announce the resumption of publication. We are now accepting manuscript submissions for Volume 18, Issue 1, scheduled for publication in the first half of 2026. The journal will continue with biannual publication (two issues per year).
We enthusiastically invite researchers, educators, and practitioners to submit their work. Manuscripts are currently being accepted through our submission system.
Open Access Policy
EJPE is an open-access journal, making all published content freely available to readers worldwide without subscription fees or paywalls. This ensures maximum dissemination and impact of physics education research globally.
Peer Review Process
The journal employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and significance of published research. All submitted manuscripts undergo evaluation by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area.

History of the Journal
The European Journal of Physics Education was established to address the growing need for dedicated publication outlets for physics education and science education research 2009. The journal successfully published through Volume 17, building a strong reputation in the physics education research community.
Following temporary hosting infrastructure challenges that necessitated a publication pause during 2024-2025, the journal has resolved these technical issues and is resuming publication with Volume 18 in 2026. The journal will continue its commitment to biannual publication (two issues per year), maintaining its high standards for peer-reviewed physics education research while welcoming the international research community to submit their latest work.
